Proudly Made In The USA!
The original Bread Pal™ foldable bread slicing guide has been manufactured in the Pacific Northwest since 1994 and is designed to last. Our family owned business produces the Bread Pal and we are proud to offer outstanding customer service. A happy customer once commented"You'll only need to buy it once!" We are so confident that you'll love our bread slicing guide we offer a no questions asked money back guarantee. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase for any reason whatsoever, you may return it used or unused. See return policy.
The Bread Pal™ is a superior bread slicer made with hardwood and hardwood faced materials and a high density polyethylene cutting surface. It's spring loaded design is quick to set up (2-3 seconds) with absolutely no assembly required; and it folds up just as quickly to a 2 inch height for compact storage with your bread maker, on the counter or in a drawer.
Dimensions: Size when folded for storage is 1 1/2 inches tall x 7 1/2 inches wide x 12 inches long. When opened for slicing the Bread Pal is 12 inches long, 6 1/4 inches wide and 6 inches tall. It will accept a 6 1/4 inch wide loaf and any length loaf as it will simply extend out over the end of the cutting surface. To cut round loaves simply cut in half and lay cut side down on cutting surface. Half of the knife guide slicing slots are for 1/2 inch slices and the other half of the slots are for 3/8 inch slices. A knife blade that is 10" or longer is best. For more options see the Bread Pal Combo.
Here's how simple it is to use.
To use: Rotate the spring loaded knife guides to their open position. Insert the bread stop. Position and hold the bread loaf.
To store: Remove the bread stop. Push both knife guides out of the retaining notch before rotating under.
The Bread Pal™ slices 1/2" and 3/8" pieces; however, slicing in every other slot produces extra thick slices for those homemade bread lovers that like thicker slices! For instance, if you are slicing in every other 1/2 inch slot you will have a 1 inch piece. Half of the knife guide slots are for 1/2 inch slices and the other half of the slots are for 3/8 inch slices. You simply place the loaf at the end that has the size you want. The Bread Pal's slightly wider cutting surface also allows for wider loaves. A 10 inch or longer bread knife or is required. Bread knife sold separately.
A bread stop is included with the Bread Pal slicer and we offer the bread stop for purchase separately for customers who have lost their stop through the years. We have learned through our customer feedback that there has been some confusion as to the purpose of the bread stop and some have been concerned that the stop might be too “flimsy”. The bread stop is made from a very tough, flexible plastic material. It’s purpose is to simply provide a stop (if desired) to line up the loaf before starting your cut. To slice: Place your loaf in the slicer with the end of the loaf to be cut NEXT to the bread stop (no need to force the loaf against the stop), hold the loaf and cut. Although the bread stop will not break, if pressure is applied it will flex some with out causing any problem. Watch the video below for the correct use of the bread stop.

Finally a quality made slicer not made out of plastic!
Yes making your own bread means spending a bit of money but don't skip on investing in a good bread slicer and this is it. For the quality and compact design it actually is reasonable. There a lot of plastic ones out there which are about hafe the price but it's not worth it. Love that my knife isn't cutting into plastic (see how long that holds up) if you take care of the bread pal it's going to last good investment!

Just started making bread again after many years, and the first time with a bread machine. This bread slicing guide is pretty cool. It takes a little getting used to, but when you get the hang of it, it works well. Nice wood, easy to store and I like that the cutting surface is polyethylene, not wood which wears out too fast. I also like that it is made in the USA. It was delivered in two days. The bread stop did flex on me at first, but when I don't push the bread against it too hard, it works fine. I recommend this product.

American made, and the care in detail is evident. Worth every penny to have a quality bread slicer for homemade breads. Great service and packaging shipped with care to a ranch on the edge of the Wild Horse Desert. May you have continued success with a great product.

This is my first attempt at using a bread slicer.
I have always sliced my bread by hand in the past and received criticisms on how crooked the slices were. Now I can boast of having even slices at whatever thickness I choose.
Thank you for introducing me to so simple an accesory.

Great slicer. Finally able to cut a slice perfect. Great to have two sizes to slice. I prefer the thin slice for white and wheat bread. The thicker slice is good for bread like banana bread and ciinnamon and raisin bread.

Easy to use but it takes some practice with the end guide as it flexes when you hold the bread in place.
Bread Pal writes: We love hearing comments from our customers! When slicing correctly, the bread stop will not flex. Forcing the loaf against the bread stop causes the stop to flex. Simply hold the loaf with out forcing it against the stop and slice. You can check out the video for proper use.

I ordered this for my wife. She is an avid bread baker and makes all kinds of bread for our family. She has had issues with getting even slices on some of the bread and this I think has fixed the frustration. It made the easy to cut loaves easier to cut and made those hard to cut loaves easy. I read countless reviews on Amazon about this and knock-off brands and I am very glad I purchased this for her. She loves it (her words).
